It is my pleasure to be the Principal of Petone Central School, Nāu mai, Hāere mai!
I have been teaching for 20 years, 18 of those with management responsibilities. I believe our tamariki are the driving force behind all that we do, and it is our job as professionals to ensure there are quality, educational experiences to both engage and stimulate our tamariki.
It is also important to have a Team of Teachers who are reflective inquirers, students who have the tools necessary to be life long learners, a Board of Trustees who are supportive and positive contributors to our school, and our Whānau and wider community who aspire for their tamariki to be the best that they can be.
Like minded spirits in this learning journey will get the work done!
Our school values resonate with all of our learners at Petone Central School:
W- Whanaungatanga (belonging and solidarity)
A- Ako (Reciprocal learning and teaching)
M- Manaakitanga (Hospitality, caring)
You are more than welcome to pop in for a visit and have a look around our school.
Kaua ē whakamā- Don't be shy, hope to see you soon!
